NFPA standards are just the baseline of knowledge. Poole Fire Protection’s staff has expert knowledge of NFPA standards and the codes that govern system design, as well as installation, testing and maintenance. Our firm has designed hundreds of fire alarm and mass notification systems for public and private clients. Our Principal, Jack Poole, serves on the NFPA 72 Technical Committee and has recently conducted research intended to improve Intelligibility Standards with the Fire Protection Research Foundation.

Intelligibilty of Fire Alarm and Emergency Communication Systems

dfm Hutchinson Correctional Facility Poole Fire Protection designed an automatic sprinkler system to retrofit an attic area at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility for Cell Houses A, B, C, D and the Rotunda Building.

Allen Fieldhouse & Memorial Stadium The university requested that Poole Fire Protection draft the drawings and specifications needed for the automatic sprinkler and standpipe system, fire pump system, and fire alarm system.

USACE Forbes Field Operations and Training Center Poole Fire Protection served as the fire protection engineer, designing and developing the building’s fire sprinkler and fire alarm system, including a wet pipe sprinkler system for the building.

NAVFAC Building #150 Poole Fire Protection reviewed the fire alarm drawings for the Great Lakes Naval Station's Building #150 to verify compliance with NFPA 72 (2002 Edition).
