usace-bigThe Operations and Training Center for Kansas National Guard was designed in 2005 for construction in 2006.  The center is a two-story building containing space for personnel training.  The building is approximately 40,000 square feet.

Poole Fire Protection served as the fire protection engineer, designing and developing the building’s fire sprinkler and fire alarm system, including a wet pipe sprinkler system for the building.  The project included sprinkler layout, piping layout and hydraulic calculations.  The firm also reviewed shop drawings prior to construction and provided construction management for the fire protection systems.

Poole Fire Protection also designed the building’s fire alarm system.  It included smoke detection, heat detection, monitoring of the sprinkler system, audible devices, visual notification devices and a main panel connected to the base Monaco fire alarm report system.

NAVFACBuilding #150 Poole Fire Protection reviewed the fire alarm drawings for the Great Lakes Naval Station's Building #150 to verify compliance with NFPA 72 (2002 Edition).
