navfac-bigPoole Fire Protection reviewed the fire alarm drawings for the Great Lakes Naval Station's Building #150 to verify compliance with NFPA 72 (2002 Edition).

The plans were reviewed to verify the voltage drop calculations for each circuit and to verify that the system's batteries were sufficient.  Device cut sheets were also reviewed for compliance.  Audibility of the fire alarm system was calculated and verified for compliance with NFPA 72.  In addition, the visual notification devices were reviewed to verify spacing requirements.

 

 

USACEForbes Field Operations and Training Center Poole Fire Protection served as the fire protection engineer, designing and developing the building’s fire sprinkler and fire alarm system, including a wet pipe sprinkler system for the building.
