UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND FEATURES JACK POOLE AS Personifying THE AMERICAN DREAM

Jack Poole, PE, FSFPE, Principal at Poole Fire Protection

Poole Fire Protection Principal, Jack Poole (FPE ’86), was featured by his alma mater, the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, in a news story on October 6, 2017. The story (found here), titled FPE Alumnus Personifies the American Dream, illustrates Mr. Poole’s story of tough beginnings and a promising career. This is not Mr. Poole’s first time gaining notoriety from this prestigious engineering school. In 2014, Mr. Poole was a recipient of the Glenn L. Martin Medal for his contributions to the mission and ideals of the A. James Clark School of Engineering. Just a year later, Mr. Poole was recognized by the school as one of its distinguished alumni. Beyond that, he has held board and committee spots within the school’s department. It was only a matter of time before the university acknowledged the life successes of one of its own. The department of fire protection engineering at the University of Maryland’s A. James Clark School of Engineering began in 1956. Mr. Poole currently serves as the Board of Visitors (BOV) Chair and is an active member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) for the department.
