New Places and New Faces

There are a lot of things to look forward to in the upcoming weeks at Poole Fire Protection. First, several of us are going to attend the Society of American Military Engineers Joint Engineer Training Conference (JETC) in Salt Lake City next week. I look forward to this conference every year. It's a great opportunity to learn, network and play a little golf with great people who use their skills to forward a great cause. We will be exhibiting this year at Booth 941 and I hope that you will stop by and see us.
One of the things we'll be talking about in Salt Lake City is our new design-build project delivery system. For many years, Poole Fire Protection has provided the code consulting and fire protection design elements to a project. Our goal is to take that to the next level and offer our clients the complete fire protection package in a streamlined approach. We will perform the building code and life safety analysis, water supply analysis and a multi-discipline review of the entire project. We will also provide the design and installation of the fire alarm/mass notification systems, automatic detection systems, fire suppression systems and fire stopping. Poole Fire Protection will subcontract the installation of the fire protection systems, but will provide complete oversight and coordination of the system installation, working closely with the subcontractors to ensure a code compliant and integrated installation of all the fire protection systems and components. At the end of the project, we will oversee the system acceptance testing and project close-out.
Our design-build project delivery system will make sure it is built right the first time, and the individual disciplines are all on the same page to avoid costly project delays, so the project's Certificate of Occupancy can be received as soon as possible once the project is complete. This is something we're very excited about providing for our clients because we know that they will find great benefit in it. If you want to know more, make sure you drop us a line, shoot us an email or stop by our booth at JETC!
We're also excited to welcome 5 interns to the Poole Fire Protection team this summer, who will be starting soon. We are looking forward to having fresh faces and points of view in the office. Our exciting project work should prove both educational and exciting for them. Plus, our senior engineers find great reward in mentoring the fire protection engineers of tomorrow.
Best Regards,
Jack
