BIM

Seeking, creating and embracing innovation is a part of the fabric of what we do. That is why we have joined the global movement toward Building Information Modeling (BIM). This process uses sophisticated building modeling software to create dynamic, three dimensional images of the project. It records a very high level of detail about the building including spatial relationships within the building and quantities and properties of components throughout the building. Utilizing this new technology has given us a greater ability to visualize how the systems we are designing will interact with and effect the other systems in the building.

Essentially, we can see where there may be issues in the project and correct them before they cause time-consuming, profit consuming problems during the construction phase. This gives the entire project team a better understanding of one another’s contributions, as well as an opportunity to communicate more efficiently about the project.
